Discover the incandescent charm of the glorious Cotswold’s at this 17th century townhouse in medieval Cirencester. Huddled on a peaceful street just a few minutes from the town, Cotswold Place is a boutique apartment away from the bustling tourist crowds. Explore the honey-coloured villages with their jumbled thatched rooftops, or ramble amongst the winding lanes and the gentle, rolling hilltops. Uncover secret stores hidden on narrow cobbled backstreets, along with Roman ruins and crumbling Norman abbeys.
The stylish first-floor apartment has been expertly restored to create an artistic home with a rich, historic character. Bold colours and decadent fabrics add warmth to the original features, and frame interesting antiques and charming vintage furniture. Admire the bare Cotswold stone or the rugged wooden beams, or the gilt mirrors, unique artwork and crystal chandeliers. Designer prints and industrial lights add a chic, contemporary edge and are joined by state-of-the-art mod-cons and uber-indulgent beds.
Cook in the well-equipped kitchen or relax in the artsy living area, lighting the wood burner and curling up on the deep, velvet sofa. Royal blues and mustard yellows add a vogue glamour, while the classic books and traditional table add to its period manor. There’s a Smart TV and DVD player for those quiet nights in, complete with fast-running WIFI and arthouse films.
Up on the second storey, you’ll find two gorgeous bedrooms, including a romantic double and a cosy single. The master double is a lavish affair, furnished with an opulent French bed frame with magnificent hand-painted ends. The snug single offers understated luxury and has beautiful views looking out over the Cotswolds. Both have been finished with crisp bedding and premium sink-in mattresses and have deep pile bath towels for the modern family bathroom.
After a restful night’s sleep, you can prepare for a day of adventure, breakfasting in the private courtyard with your freshly brewed coffee. Just a few minutes stroll will take you into the heart of Cirencester, where you can visit its quaint shops and colourful craft markets. Feast in the independent coffee shops or in the atmospheric, country inns, before donning your walking boots and heading out into the hills. The chocolate-box towns of Chipping Camden and Burford can both be found nearby, while the architectural sights of Bath and Cheltenham are within a 40-minute drive.

Have you stayed here?
Leave a reviewWe had a fantastic weekend break here. There was everything you could possibly need within the apartment, it smelled fantastic, it was quiet & felt very secure. The apartment is perfectly placed for the town centre & we definitely recommend having a guided tour of the church. We would absolutely stay again. You also have to visit the charity shop next to the apartment, it's more of a vintage shop with amazing clothing & art works.
