This handsome stone house has an abundance of outdoor space and offers lovely views across beautiful Yorkshire countryside. It is a great property to enjoy with friends and family - spacious enough for good-sized gatherings while accommodating those who want some quiet time away from the group. Visitors will fall in love with this impressive home from the moment they pull up on the large gravel courtyard and take in the acres of lovely countryside surrounding the property.
And they continue to be 'wowed' as they explore the interior. Cooks will love entertaining guests in the wonderful farmhouse-style kitchen which contains all the modern gadgets anyone could require for creating delicious banquets. The main features of the room are the welcoming Aga range cooker and the kitchen island where guests can gather to chat while nibbling appetisers and indulging in a pre-dinner drink. A large wooden dining table has ample room for all and is positioned opposite patio doors so guests may admire the lovely views as they enjoy lively suppers.
After dinner, take the party into the adjoining living room where the fun can continue late into the evening, relax on the large comfy sofas by the flickering wood burner and unwind before bed. The competitive amongst the group will love the games room where a pool table, darts and table football await, while a cosy sofa and large flat screen television caters to the professional spectator. On sunny days take the fun outside and make the most of that glorious fresh North Yorkshire air. Guests will discover a gas BBQ, a hot tub and plenty of lawn for family sports days under endless skies.
When bedtime rolls around, there are four stunning rooms to choose from. A master boasts a super-king size bed, luxurious ensuite and oak beams running across the pitched roof. Two of the bedrooms can be used as king size doubles or twins and share a lovey large family-style bathroom, while the fourth is ensuite and, like the master, has a super-king size bed. There are two further ensuite bedrooms in the annex which have their own private entrance. The property sleeps an impressive 12 guests making Waterloo Lodge an attractive option for larger groups.
This substantial property has plenty to keep everyone entertained throughout the stay but for a change of scenery and a respite for the cooks, take a two mile stroll to The White Swan in Gilling or book a night of wine tasting at nearby Bon Coeur Fine Wines. The house is situated close to both the famous Dales and the glorious Yorkshire coastline where miles of beautiful countryside can be discovered on foot, bike or by car.
