The detail

Chapel Apartment is a beautifully designed space on the second floor of a church dating back to 1877. The blend of original restored detail and modern elegant furnishings would make this a perfect choice for two couples or up to four friends seeking a refined and stylish getaway on the outskirts of the bustling city of Liverpool.

A communal entrance brings you into an impressive hall boasting mosaic floors and beautiful wooden alter panels which frame the original stone and gilt pulpit and font.

A lift takes you up to your apartment on the second floor where you'll find your own private entrance hall lined with three stunning chandeliers. From here the space opens up into a breathtaking living and dining room with floor-to-ceiling stained glass windows creating a colourful welcoming environment.

High ceilings with Velux windows let the light flood the space and showcase the airy spaciousness reminiscent of its original chapel incarnation. The furnishings offset the grandeur with their stylish comfort and you'll want to recline in one of the vast chesterfields with a drink and simply soak up the surroundings. A sturdy low wooden coffee table is in-keeping with the rest of the décor and there are plenty of soft cushions and throws to make this space cosy and pleasant for an evening of popcorn and movies on the flat screen TV.

The kitchen is sleek and modern with high-spec appliances and everything you could need to prepare a feast, which you can enjoy casually at the breakfast bar or in style at the elegant dining table for four.

There are two beautiful bedrooms to choose from, both simple and inviting. The first has a super-king size bed, which is zip-and-link, so it can be made into twins if required. This room also has its own ensuite facilities with a large walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed and the use of an additional main bathroom with a fabulous free standing deep tub. Both rooms have plenty of storage and dressing tables, and the main bedroom has its own TV for lazy mornings under the duvet with that first coffee.

In the morning you can take a long lazy soak in the tub or blast yourself awake in the powerful shower and make use of all the complimentary toiletries before heading through for breakfast at the bar.

Liverpool is a vibrant city with much to offer. Your location will mean you'll have the choice between time in the heart of the bustling town, or days lazing on the famous Crosby beach where you can admire the fascinating Iron Men statues, stroll the marina or engage in some water sports.

You'll find plenty of local shops, cafes and restaurants to try on your doorstep and there's an independent BAFA award winning cinema just a five-minute walk away. With excellent transport links into the city you can leave the car parked and make the most of the fantastic pubs and bars in the city centre if you're in the mood for a big night out.
