This collection of six luxury tipis is tucked away in the apple orchard of a working dairy farm. Kitted out with all the home comforts you’ll need for a pleasant stay, you can enjoy all the adventure of camping without any of the hassle. With each tipi sleeping five people, it’s the perfect destination for a family glamping holiday or a group getaway.
Each cosy tipi has been furnished with comfort in mind and is fitted with lights, electric plug sockets and a heater. Inside you’ll find comfortable beds, handmade from pallets, with bedding and linen provided, and homely touches like bedside tables, fairy lights and bunting. And best of all, everything will be ready and waiting for you on arrival.
The shared kitchen facilities contain all the essentials for brewing a cuppa or whipping up a hearty meal, including pots and pans, cutlery and plates. And each tipi has its own private fridge/freezer and kettle.
Outside each tipi you’ll find a private BBQ and fire pit, so you can sit under the stars, even on a chilly evening. And as no glamping trip would be complete without them, complementary marshmallows for toasting are provided.
There are also shared toilets and piping hot showers, with all facilities being thoroughly cleaned after every checkout.
Situated in a charming apple orchard, the tipis are all named after cider apples and each one has its own apple tree to provide shade from the sun or shelter from the rain. In spring the trees are in blossom and by autumn the apples are fully grown and ready for picking, so whatever the season, it’s an idyllic spot.
Relaxation is the name of the game here, but there are also plenty of on-site activities to keep you busy. You can canoe along the river, catch a movie at the outdoor cinema, take a wildflowers tour, go fishing or join a pizza-making class.
The spectacular surrounding area is ready to be discovered, with the Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on your doorstep. The historic towns of Ross-on-Wye and Hereford are within driving distance and it’s a great base for exploring the ancient Forest of Dean.
