Wheelwright House is a recently renovated property in the Cornish village of St Mabyn. With four comfortable, spacious bedrooms, it's the perfect place to take the family for a getaway to this delightful slice of coastline. Speaking of which, the property's just a six-mile drive away from the coast, making spending lazy days on the beach effortless.
Wheelwright House is newly renovated but still retains many of its original features. It's truly the perfect blend of old and new, with its luxury furnishings pairing beautifully with the traditional fixtures. It's a fantastic destination for winter trips, too, with its wood-burning stove keeping the place nice and toasty through the colder months. And the house is just a short walk from the lovely local pub and village shop, making trips into the village easy and convenient.
Wheelwright House's ground floor revolves around its open-plan kitchen and dining space. The kitchen offers everything you need to whip up the perfect home-cooked meal, and the dining area boasts ample seating, so everyone can pull up a chair for Sunday lunch or a sociable evening meal. And the living room, with its plush sofas and smart TV, is the perfect place to spend a relaxed night in.
Wheelwright House is home to a generous king-size master bedroom, with an en suite bathroom with waterfall shower, plus a further two double bedrooms and a bunk room ideal for kids. The family bathroom boasts a sizable tub, so you can soak your troubles away after a long day at the beach or exploring the countryside.
Wheelwright House is just a short drive away from some of Cornwall's most fantastic natural and historic sites. The nature reserve of Pentire Point is located nearby on the coast; it's a great spot to observe seals and peregrine falcons, if you're lucky. The Trippet Stone Circle and King Arthur's Hall, both Bronze Age sites, are also a short distance from the property.
Of course, there's plenty to do and see in nearby St Mabyn, too. The charming village is home to a delightful country pub and a well-stocked village store, which is ideal for shopping for essentials. It's also incredibly well-preserved and makes for a fantastic place for a stroll, followed by lunch and a pint at the St Mabyn Inn.
