  The Detail...

These three eco-cottages, located just a few blocks away from Venice Beach, are gorgeously unique and a fun, fantastic alternative to the typical hotel experience. Each is decorated in its own particular style and all are fitted with modern and stylish furnishings. The cottages, Papa Hemingway, Aunt Zoes Place and Le Bb Cottage, are all solar-powered, offering you the chance to have a green, environmentally friendly vacation, whilst still relaxing in true glamour and comfort.

Papa Hemingway boasts a suave and elegant vibe, decorated in dark wood, with sophisticated, vintage-style accents. The cottage is filled with interesting and distinctive features, such as a bathroom floor made entirely of recycled wine corks! There is a spacious kitchen, including an original walnut Hoosier cabinet, and a cosy living room, with a serene and relaxing feel, accentuated by the chic wooden blinds to dim the bright L.A. sunshine. Overall the cottage has a warm, cabin in the woods feel to it.

Aunt Zoes Place has an altogether different flair. Bright and playful, the cottage is decked out in the style of a 1940's lakeside cabin. With white washed walls and wooden flooring painted with red cherries and a classic chequerboard pattern in the kitchen the cabin also has gorgeous stain glass windows in the gables, which adds the colourful and cheery atmosphere. A wrought iron bed stand, traditional farm sinks and vintage curtains in the kitchen really help to cement the cottages style.

The third cabin, Le Bb Cottage, has a very French feel to it as the name would suggest. Decorated in bright red in the living room, Parisian blue in the kitchen and elegant chrome in the bathroom, the cottage has what the owners call a candied baroque theme. It is sophisticated and fun, with interesting features such as a large birdcage transformed into a comfortable living room chair! Renowned interior designer Kelly LaPlante acted as a consultant for this cottage and, from the delicate butterfly design on the bedroom wall to the sleek lacquered wood floors, a truly unique style is evident throughout.

All of the cottages are one bedroom, furnished with a large, comfortable double bed. The kitchens are fitted with modern appliances, whilst still maintaining the vintage, kitsch style of the cottages. With imaginative and unique design details, such as an old record cabinet transformed into a bathroom vanity, these eco-cottages are really something special.

Their location only makes them more appealing only four blocks away from the gorgeous Venice Beach! It is easy to explore all of Los Angeles main attractions nearby and the bohemian district of Abbot Kinney Boulevard GQ Magazines Coolest Block in America is only two blocks away. After fun-filled days out in the California sunshine, there is nothing better than returning to these fun-filled cottages.
