  The Detail...

This gorgeous converted windmill is made up of truly unique open living spaces stretched over a number of floors. As you wind your way up the beautiful twisting staircase your views of the spectacular Anglesey countryside and the Snowdonia Mountain Range get ever more impressive. Once you hit the very top youll see heart stopping 360 degree panoramic vistas. If the stairs dont take your breath away, then the scenery most certainly will.

Union Mill is a truly unique holiday destination for families or groups of friends who are looking to escape to the Welsh countryside and enjoy genuine natural beauty. Carefully converted, this historic windmill is over 230 years old. Within the old walls of the windmill is a contemporary holiday cottage that oozes style and comfort. Beautiful slate floors throughout combine with the custom-made woodwork and whitewashed stone walls to give this property real old world country charm.

Union Mill, which comfortably sleeps six people, has a lovely spacious living room with bright sofas, bean bags and a HD TV and is the perfect place to cosy up by the wood burning fire to escape the world outside. The living space opens out onto the patio, which is the perfect destination for breakfast in the summer sunshine before heading out to explore the island. You can also fire up the BBQ or make the most of the fantastic fully equipped kitchen and cook up some fabulous local produce. The property also has a nice contemporary bathroom complete with a bath and shower, giving you somewhere to relax and unwind after a days hiking. There is also a convenient ground floor toilet hidden in the rounded wall.

Once you venture out of the windmill you have plenty to see and do on this beautiful island off the north coast of Wales. You can roam around on foot and enjoy picturesque sandy beaches, or hop on your bikes and ride around soaking in the islands untouched scenery and rolling landscapes. Union Mill is situated a short walk from the village of Gaerwen, which has a local shop that sells bread, milk, newspapers and a selection of local groceries and if you hop in your car you can drive for ten minutes for a supermarket. Over the bridge to the mainland, you get to Bangor where there are plenty of larger shops with a wider range of products available. Nice pubs and restaurants nearby also mean that there are plenty of options for eating out.
