The Details...

Chic modern style is mixed up with quirky antique furniture-finds, light and spacious rooms and exposed brick walls, to make a highly stylish holiday home. Ty Bili was built in 1836 and the owners have been careful to retain some of the original charm of the building; a grand fireplace, and traditional stone bread oven hark back to the buildings earlier days. The gorgeous colour scheme of cool neutrals blend seamlessly with the solid sand coloured brick walls, and the buildings history is reflected in the painted antique furniture that adorns the rooms.

Luxury isn’t a word that has been taken lightly by the owners of Ty Bili. Each room is blessed with lovely touches; the bedrooms have blissful Egyptian cotton bedding, tempting you to sink into bed and enjoy a great night’s sleep. The bathroom has a beautiful claw footed bath, in which it is easy to imagine laying back into fragrant bubbles, as you marvel over what a relaxing holiday you’re having. Sit in the living room with the wood burner crackling away as you relax with the family, or if the weather is warm, throw open the windows and doors and embrace the Breton coastal air!

Outside there is a large garden, where you can while away warm days playing garden games, enjoying a picnic, or taking advantage of the garden furniture and dining al fresco. The house is positioned perfectly to make the most of the surrounding area; only a short walk away is a sandy beach which shelves gently, meaning that it is safe for paddling.

The area of Finistere has plenty of beaches to choose from; even in peak season the beaches stay relatively un-crowded and the water is consistently clear. Should there be any “foodies” in your party, then they will relish the lively morning markets in the local towns, where fresh local produce is on offer. The port town of Audierne has pretty 17th-18th century houses lining the sea front, and plenty of restaurants providing fresh cooked local cuisine.
