The detail

Get the group together for a memorable experience in this converted windmill in the North Norfolk countryside.

A converted windmill, this bunkhouse offers accommodation for 19 people and is the perfect place to gather with friends and family while exploring North Norfolk. Built by John Savory in 1816, it was last used as a corn mill in 1914.

The ground floor in the main building consists of a dining/lounge, toilet, shower and a well-equipped and recently refurbished kitchen. The ground floor of the annex contains a toilet and shower. A washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the garage so you can ensure your walking clothes are nice and clean before heading out for another day exploring Norfolk.

On the first floor of the main building there's one dormitory with four bunkbeds and there is also an external balcony wrapping around the mill where you can stand and enjoy the view. The annex has a single and a twin bedroom for added guests. On the second floor of the main building there's another dormitory with four bunkbeds. Then, up on the third floor sits the library/living room.

As well as the outdoor balcony, there's also a large lawned, enclosed garden at the front and to the side of the mill. A brick BBQ is provided behind the mill for some al fresco dining in the warmer months.

The mill stands alone and has spectacular views over the north Norfolk coast and surrounding countryside. Within easy reach of the Norfolk Coastal Path, it is the ideal place from which to go bird watching, crabbing or enjoy the beaches. Brancaster Beach, owned by the National Trust, is close by as well as Brancaster Estate saltmarshes and Blakeney Point is further east along the coast.
