The family friendly Thornbridge Lodge will be lodged in your memory for years to come after a stay at the comfortable, well-equipped and stylish property that also has a huge private courtyard with outdoor seating and a BBQ. Dine al-fresco, relax in the secluded garden, or cycle/walk the Monsal Trail, which is handily on your doorstep.
Thornbridge Lodge has lots of character, and is spacious enough to sleep 8-10 guests in 4/5 bedrooms. All rooms are pleasantly decorated with neutral colours and fresh linen. Off the inner hall in the main part of the lodge there are two ground floor bedrooms (one can be a twin or double and the other a double only). These two bedrooms share a family bathroom with bath and separate shower enclosure.
Up a flight of stairs you will find one first floor double bedroom with en suite shower room. There is another en suite king size double bedroom (double only) via external access from within the private courtyard, up a narrow spiral staircase. Downstairs is a second sitting room which can also be used as a bedroom with two comfortable sofa beds for two extra guests or as a family suite.
When it comes to cooking and dining, the lodge has an open plan kitchen and dining room equipped with modern appliances and is able to comfortably seat up to 10 people.
The living space benefits from a high beamed ceiling, polished wooden floor and an impressive fire with a log burning stove for the colder months, or throw open the bay windowed double doors to enjoy the garden.
Relax in comfort and style or take advantage of its location on the Monsal trail to walk or cycle to the historic market town of Bakewell, drink at any one of the heartwarming. traditional local pubs and take in views of the rest of the magnificent Peak District.
