Kick back and relax in this stunning converted barn filled with character, style and contemporary fittings. Hang out with friends and family or explore the local area which is full of hikes, history and wildlife. The Steading is a seriously luxurious property kitted out with everything guests could possibly require for a relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. This imposing renovated stone barn complex sits around a grand gravelled courtyard which boasts two impressive water features, ready to take guests' breath away when they first arrive at this magnificent U-shaped property.
A clean, crisp design with tiled and wooden floors and stained timber beams, which run across vaulted ceilings, creates a light, modern interior. Furnishings are contemporary with lots of luxurious velvet sofas, quirky framed prints and cushions adding pops of colour and accentuating character. The monochrome kitchen, the heart of the barn, is stunning and has all the equipment chefs could possible require for creating delicious feasts. It features two double ovens, two dishwashers and a large fridge as well as a separate utility room. A large breakfast bar offers space for fellow guests to chop and peel, or simply pour the wine and chat. A sitting area to the side has a large sofa which sits by a stylish Morso stove for warming toes on cooler days. Dinners can be enjoyed in the large dining area or outside on the patio, situated next to the lawned garden, the perfect spot for relaxing in the sun while keeping an eye on younger guests as they play.
After dinner, move the party to the opulent television room where guests can sink into the luxurious teal velvet sofas and enjoy a movie night. Or, try mixing drinks at the bar and heading out through the patio doors to enjoy some star spotting in the moonlight. And at bedtime, there are five exquisite bedrooms to chose from. Three are ensuite with king sized beds and there is a large family bathroom servicing the other rooms (which have zip and link beds). One of the masters has a luxurious freestanding tub where guests can escape for some much deserved 'me' time while another features a desk area - handy for the workaholics.
If guests can tear themselves away from this luxurious property, they might take stroll to Chalston, a lovely village just a-mile-and-a-half away with a nice pub, The Percy Arms. Hikers will want to head into the Cheviot Hills or maybe tread a portion of St Cuthbert's Way which passes by the barn. Or grab goodies from nearby Wooler and spend the day picnicking at Linhope Spout or Routin Linn waterfalls.
