The detail

Walk the beautiful beaches of North Berwick, indulge in fabulous fresh seafood and explore the stunning coastline from this pretty cabin nestled in its own private sunny garden sheltered by woodland.

Arrive at the cabin via a short forest walk, step through a stained glass door into the sun trap garden, over the threshold and into the cosy open plan area of this wooden cabin.

A bespoke kitchen, with a gorgeous hard wood work top, has everything cooks require to whip up wonderful meals. Just don't get too distracted by the lovely view through the kitchen window which overlooks the sunny garden, where guests find a dining area for alfresco eating.

This lovely outdoor space is fabulous for making the most of late summer evenings and starry winter nights. Relax in the wooden armchairs, cosy with blankets and cushions, and keep warm beside the fire pit, illuminated by the sparkle from the charming tea light-filled jam jars.

There is a further dining area inside the cabin, a wooden table folds down from the wall - ideal for coffee and croissants in the morning and romantic evening meals by candle light when the wild weather blows in off the sea.

The owners have thoughtfully created a cosy snug in the corner of the cabin where visitors can unwind and sink into the pretty velvet pink armchairs and warm toes beside the wood burner. Pour a drink, take out a good book and relax to the sound of the fire crackling.

When eyelids begin to droop, head to the large bed, so inviting with its crisp linens, cosy duvet and quality mattress and pillows. Even the most sensitive sleeper will be snoozing through the night.

And in the morning, a large window opens out to a glorious view of green from the abundant trees which neighbour the cabin. Wake to the sound of the birds and fill the room with fresh morning air and bright golden sunlight ready for a new day filled with adventures.

And what adventures there are to be had - romantics will love walking to stunning Tantallon Castle and sunset horse rides along the beach, adventurers can take surf lessons in nearby Dunbar and foodies will love the seafood at The Rocketeer at North Berwick harbour.
