Quaint and pretty from the outside, thanks to red bricks and old arched windows, The Old Chapel at Alford is a lovely place to stay filled with comfy, homely touches. From the outside it resembles a charming, rustic country cottage, but once you step inside you’re presented with wonderful modern touches, a luxury finish and plenty of nice open space. The cutting edge living space is open plan, with lots of room for socialising. It includes a modern, fully functional and stylish kitchen; a breakfast bar perfect for your morning coffee; a cracking dining area; and a cosy lounge hidden away around the corner, a great spot for an evening in front of the TV.
With two fabulous bedrooms - one spacious double and a twin - this cracking cottage can comfortably sleep four people. The large double bedroom has a giant comfy bed and an exposed brick feature wall. The twin room has two singles beds which can both be transformed into doubles. There’s also a fantastic bathroom with a large freestanding bathtub, the ideal spot for a soak after a day out exploring. The pretty garden space has lovely country views across the neighbouring field, as well as a raised deck and a BBQ all catering for some great al fresco dining when the sun is shining. Throughout this adorable property are muted shades, pretty furniture and artistic touches that make the whole place feel like home. And to top it off, guests with dogs are more than welcome to bring along their canine companions at a small added cost.
Situated on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Old Chapel is the perfect spot from which to explore this gorgeous area of British countryside. Not only is it great for rambling, hiking and biking, but guests also have access to some pretty nearby towns including Louth, Horncastle, Spilsby and Alford. All of these provide an array of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. There are also some other picturesque country walks available and some delightful villages worth visiting too.
