  The Detail...

The Old Barn is a stylish retreat that really goes the extra mile for the guests that are lucky enough to stay here. You can expect stylish, homely interiors with plenty of little touches that show you just how much love the owners have poured into this property. The small farm is at the heart of your stay - with luxurious Tresithick sheepskins adorning the lounge, firewood from their woodland, and delicious local produce available for you to buy. Theres something wonderfully rounded about the whole experience.

And the farm is not only to be admired from afar, collect eggs from the chickens or even head out in your wellies to help feed the pigs. You can do as little or as much as you like in this truly special retreat - its a real slice of Cornish heaven.

The open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area is based on the first floor so that you can take advantage of the spectacular countryside views. With large beams, thick stone walls and wooden floors its a really beautiful space. The lounge is wonderfully comfortable with a large sofa, characterful wood burning stove and gorgeously thick sheepskins. And theres a large television to keep you entertained of an evening.

The dining area next to the kitchen has a large table right next to the window, which means you can take in the glorious views over breakfast. The well-equipped kitchen is a cooks dream - with a large Rangemaster cooker and plenty of pots and pans. And the stylish wooden units, Belfast sink and large dresser all add charm to this delightful kitchen.

Downstairs, the master bedroom has a large king size bed and sumptuous pocket sprung mattress. Simplicity in the styling adds to the beauty of this room with bright textiles sitting happily against the white cotton bed linen.

The single bedroom (with a pull-out second bed) is perfect for children. The muted tones are really welcoming - as are the carefully chosen toys and books waiting for the children to discover.

The modern bathroom comes complete with large white fluffy towels and indulgent Cornish natural soap.

Outside there is a pretty terrace area complete with table and chairs. And for those that take relaxing a bit more seriously, there are also a couple of sun loungers. For sunny evenings theres a BBQ for you to cook up some of the fresh produce available from the farm.

Theres lots of activities to get involved with right on the farm too - from den-building in the woods to helping move the sheep. Its the stuff of childhood dreams. Go and explore!

In the local area there are some stunning walks from the door with no less than three footpaths to choose from - discover secret creekside foreshores, local pubs and clear blue water at Point Quay. For beach lovers, Looe beach is just five minutes away. With a waterfront cafe, watersports and fabulous rock pooling at low-tide, theres something for everyone. And if you fancy taking a drive, then the impressive Eden Project is just 40 minutes away.
