This relaxing countryside retreat lies in rural St Catherine, Somerset. Surrounded by a beautiful garden and idyllic countryside, this bright and charming self-catering studio apartment is the perfect place to switch off and escape the fast pace of modern life. The home has everything you could need for a comfortable stay, plus a delightful decking area that overlooks the garden and wooded hillside. And of course, guests will have the optional bonus to fire up the eco hot tub and enjoy an indulgent soak.
The Loft is located on the first floor of an outbuilding of the main house, tucked away from the rest of the property, which gives guests privacy. The interior is light-filled and airy, lovingly designed and decorated in a Cabbages and Roses ‘shabby chic’ style. At the heart of the room is a living area with a large sofa, table and chairs, a lovely spot to relax with a good book after a long day exploring the countryside. Next to the sofa is the double bed, fitted with a comfy mattress and premium linen to ensure a sound night’s sleep.
The property features a small but well-equipped kitchenette with two ring hob, oven and fridge, as well as all the pots, pans and utensils you could need to prepare a delicious meal. At the far end of the room is a separate bathroom with a roll top bath, fluffy towels and premium toiletries. At the opposite end is a door that leads out to the spacious decking area, a real highlight of The Loft. Here you’ll find outdoor table and chairs - ideal if you fancy some alfresco dining with a view - and the luxurious woodfired hot tub.
The Loft is situated in the rural village of St Catherine on the edge of the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The property acts as the perfect base to explore the scenic country surroundings; there are many fantastic walks nearby, some right from your doorstep. The helpful host is happy to provide details of some of the best walks, as well local restaurants, pubs shops and more. You’ll also be just a 20-minute drive away from the famous city of Bath, renowned for its ancient Roman history, elegant Georgian architecture and vibrant city centre.
