Situated in the beautiful North Devon countryside, The Lazy Mare at Shack and Pantry offers couples an amazing rural retreat that's just a short drive from the sea. This marvellously converted horse truck offers comfy, cosy glamping, allowing you to be at one with nature whilst soaking in the amazing views of Exmoor and across the Bristol Channel towards Wales.
The property has been lovingly converted, with unique design features and comfy furnishings throughout. Sit on the two stylish lounge chairs with a book and a glass of wine and open up the double doors onto the small deck to let the outside in. This quaint deck is a nice spot to sit with your morning coffee whilst enjoying the view. In winter you can stay nice and cosy thanks to the log burner, whilst additional electric heating is included.
The property has a comfortable king sized bed, that features sumptuous bedding, and you have your own woollen throws and towels. Guests have access to their own shower room with private WC access. The property's cute kitchenette includes gas oven and hob and a small fridge with a freezer compartment. Guests are also provided with tea and coffee, plus a number of other glamping essentials.
Outside you have plenty of space to relax and unwind. Lounge on the giant beanbags in summer and when the evening rolls around be sure to get comfy by the fire pit and toast marshmallows in the festoon-lit garden. On sunny afternoons be sure to fire up the charcoal BBQ and get grilling.
This idyllic and secluded location makes a fab base for walkers, cyclists, surfers or anyone else who wants to explore North Devon. You're a short drive from a number of stunning beaches, and there are also some fantastic coastal walks nearby. If quaint villages and cosy pubs are your thing then you'll be pleased, as you're located near many charming watering holes that offer a great spot for a local ale or a pub lunch. There are some cracking cycle routes that are accessible from the doorstep meaning those looking to retreat don’t need to venture too far to experience the great outdoors.
