Situated on a working farm in the pretty village of Netherbury in West Dorset, The Grange is a beautiful barn conversion that sleeps up to eight guests. With scenic views out over the farm and the River Brit and large open-plan living areas, this is a lovely place to spend a relaxing holiday with friends and family.
Step inside and you’ll find that the open-plan design and high ceilings, that reach the full height of the barn in some places, create a wonderful sense of space. The exposed brick walls and the wooden beams of the vaulted ceilings retain much of the character of the original building. On the ground floor, there’s a large modern kitchen and dining area which leads through to a cosy living space. Comfy sofas are gathered around a log burner and a TV, the perfect spot to put your feet up after some long rambling walks in the countryside.
There’s also a double bedroom on the ground floor with a luxurious king-size bed and an ensuite shower room. The other two bedrooms are on the first floor, at either end of a walkway that looks down over the living area. This allows lots of natural light to reach the space below from the rooflights. These bedrooms also feature king-sized beds and ensuite bathrooms. They also have an additional single bed so each room could sleep three.
Outside, there’s a private terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside with outdoor furniture and a barbecue for enjoying sunny afternoons. There’s also a tennis court which guests are welcome to use and you can follow one of the farm tracks out into the countryside where it meets several footpaths.
The Grange is located on Parnham Farm in Netherbury, a picturesque and quiet village with plenty of walking routes that lead you out into the surrounding countryside. It’s a lovely location for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a bit of rural scenery. It’s also close to the Jurassic Coastline with its many beautiful beaches and clifftop walks and the market towns of Bridport and Lyme Regis.
