This stunning accommodation in Cornwall is now available for exclusive hire for up to 24 guests, ideal for celebrating a special occasion in style. Designed to encapsulate the feeling of escapism, it is found at the end of a long, private lane, surrounded by serene countryside. It features seven rooms, split between two buildings, as well as a larger apartment and a delightful shepherd’s hut tucked away in its own secluded spot. Each room is a real home away from home, beautifully finished to a clean, modern aesthetic, with premium furnishings, stylish décor and far-reaching country views.
There are two family studios that sleep up to four and are, as the name suggests, tailor-made for families. As well as rooms with super king beds, they have attached twin or double rooms and a shared bathroom. There’s also the Gate Apartment which has a master bedroom with king size bed, a spacious living room with sofa bed, a large bathroom with walk-in shower, a separate, fully equipped kitchen and a dining area.
The two double studios feature sumptuous king size beds, well-equipped kitchenettes (great for whipping up breakfast or a light lunch) and ensuite bathrooms. They also have the added luxury of private balconies with alfresco baths, where you can bathe to the stunning backdrop of the rolling countryside or one of Cornwall’s famous sunsets.
The other three rooms are all room-only but are still just as impressive. They all have comfy king size beds, ensuite shower rooms with freestanding baths, tea and coffee making facilities and private balconies with great views. And don’t forget the shepherd’s hut – glamping at its finest with a cosy cabin-style double bed below a stargazing ceiling, ensuite shower room and its own fully functional kitchenette. It also has a large deck with seating and an outdoor roll-top bath! In all rooms, guests will be supplied with White Company linen and towels and premium toiletries.
The Gate is situated in between Looe and Polperro on the South East of Cornwall. Two miles from the sea, it offers a great blend of country and coast and is an ideal location for avoiding the big crowds of the more touristy destinations. There is plenty to see and do here, including an array of great walks directly from the hotel. A short walk south will take you to the breathtaking Talland Bay, an enclosed haven for swimming and rock pooling. Another great walk along a river and through Kilminorth Woods leads to the charming town of Looe, where you can reward yourselves with a drink at a seaside bar or with fresh fish from one of the award-winning seafood restaurants. Also within reach is the quaint fishing village of Polperro, the picturesque port at Charlestown and the famous harbour town of Padstow.
