The detail

This wonderful property has been transformed from an old farmhouse into a stunning holiday home. It sits in a picturesque farmstead on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds and boasts far-reaching views across the open countryside. Comfortably accommodating up to 10 people, it makes a perfect getaway for celebrating a special occasion with family or friends. It also includes the added luxury of a hot tub, where guests can treat themselves to an indulgent soak whilst enjoying the views of the farm’s green pastures and wandering sheep.

The renovated farmhouse has all the modern amenities you could wish for, but still preserves its rustic charm, with original features like the stone floor, exposed brick walls and wooden beams retained. The interior has been finished to a very high standard with tasteful décor and high-quality furnishings throughout.

At the heart of the property is the open-plan kitchen and dining area, complete with state-of-the-art appliances and a central island with granite worktops. A large wooden dining table awaits when it’s time to eat, with enough seating for all guests. French doors leading out onto the patio provide excellent views and flood the room with natural light.

There are two cosy living areas on the ground floor where everyone can come together and relax. Both have comfy sofas, wood-burners (plenty of logs are provided) and wide screen TVs. This gives the option for some guests to throw a movie night or sit and socialise in one room, whilst others can unwind by the fire with a good book in the other. Also on the ground floor is a utility room with laundry facilities and a toilet.

All four bedrooms are located upstairs, they include two family rooms with double and single beds and two rooms with double beds. Two of the rooms have ensuite shower rooms and there is also a large, shared bathroom with a freestanding bathtub and double shower (all stocked with fluffy towels, robes and toiletries).

Step outside the home and you’ll find a huge garden with a patio and lots of luscious, lawned grass. There’s plenty of outdoor furniture, picnic benches with umbrellas and a barbecue to fire up on sunny days - it’s also where you’ll find the hot tub.

There are miles of public footpaths and cycle paths around the farm waiting to be explored. One of these leads to the quaint market town of Pocklington, home to an array of interesting shops and lovely eateries. Further afield is the vibrant city of York (a 30-minute drive), famous for its ancient walls and cobbled streets lined with boutique shops, world class museums, art galleries and more. Or if you fancied a trip to the coast, the seaside towns of Filey and Bridlington are both within reach.
