  The Detail...

The Cowshed is a beautifully decorated barn conversion that comfortably sleeps four. Set in the Cheshire countryside, the Cowshed is within walking distance of some charming local pubs. But with comfy king sized beds, luxurious roll-top baths, a chiminea in the summer and woodburner in the winter, you may not want to go anywhere else.

An onsite Beauty Therapist, champagne, and chocolate (all subject to availability, with a small additional charge) add a touch of luxury to your stay.

The open plan kitchen, dining, and living room is a cosy space to relax, with vintage style and a trunk full of board games for social nights in. Light the woodburning stove and curl up on colder evenings and enjoy each others' company with a glass of wine, lounging on one of the two sofas, or in the leather armchair with sheepskin throw. There is also a flatscreen TV, selection of DVDs, and a soundsystem.

The Cabin offers some outdoor space and has a glass roof, with one side of the room opening onto the garden. Thick curtains can be drawn across as the evening gets cooler. Hidden beneath a seat is a double-ended bath for sipping a G & T under the stars. The kitchen is fully equipped, with polished wood counters and a bar-style kitchen table. Expect welcoming touches, like fresh mint from the garden or wildflowers in a jar.

Both bedrooms have king sized beds with White Company bedding. One bedroom is on a mezzanine level overlooking the open plan living space, with curtains that can be drawn across the glass. The second bedroom is on the ground floor, with wood panelling and shutters that can be opened onto the main living space. Another roll-top bath is hidden beneath a window seat. There is a wet room with underfloor heating and a power shower. White Company robes, towels, and toiletries are provided.

The Cholmondeley Arms is a two mile walk from the Cowshed. The pub serves local food and specialises in gin. Relax in the beer garden in summer or by a cosy fire in winter. Guests can enjoy 30% off at local beauty salon Skin Health Spa in Nantwich. Or visit the market town of Shrewsbury to browse in local shops or have afternoon tea. There are several National Trust properties and gardens nearby, such as Chirk Castle and Speke Hall. Nearby Chester Zoo has 400 different species.
