Grand, spacious and flooded with natural light, this stunning barn conversion offers groups of up to six guests a wonderful place to stay close to the fabulous and historic town of Henley-in-Arden. The Carriage House is tucked away in a peaceful, rural location amidst the delightful Warwickshire countryside and has been lovingly finished to a very high standard.
The bright and spacious kitchen-diner is sleek and stylish and the room features whitewashed walls and cute windows that flood the space with natural light. This is the perfect social hub of the barn, with a pretty dining table and a contemporary kitchen that is nicely equipped with all of the modern amenities you will need to prepare delicious meals throughout your stay. There's also a nice seating area in this open, social space that features a comfy sofa and armchairs alongside large glass doors that offer lovely views of the open countryside.
If you're after a slightly more cosy space to unwind, the main lounge is perfect! This charming space has multiple windows offering picturesque countryside views. There's also a big, deep sofa and some luxurious armchairs where you can sit with a morning coffee or a glass of wine come the evening. The room also has a grand feature fireplace and a large flat screen TV. This room is perfect for settling in after a long day spent exploring this amazing part of the UK.
Come bedtime, the barn's three delightful, spacious bedrooms all offer a great night's sleep. Each room features zip-and-link super-king size beds, which can be separated into two singles if required. This provides groups plenty of flexibility. The Master Suite features a high, vaulted ceiling with Velux windows and has floor-to-ceiling mirrored wardrobes and drawers, offering nice storage space. There's even a large dressing room area and an ensuite for added privacy. The ensuite bathroom has both a bath and a shower.
The second bedroom also features a vaulted ceiling, Velux windows and yet more floor-to-ceiling wardrobes and drawers. The final bedroom has windows that overlook the grounds and has similar ample storage space to the other two. The second and third bedrooms also have their own beautifully appointed ensuite shower rooms.
There's an additional WC and separate laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink, and if anyone wants to catch up on some work during their stay, there's an additional office room.
The Carriage House is perfectly placed for those of you who wish to explore Shakespeare's England. Both Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick are just a 15-minute drive away and The Cotswolds are also close by. You're also just a five-minute drive from the lovely town of Henley-in-Arden, which has a mile long high street that is considered by many historians to be one of the most significant roads in England, thanks to the wonderful array of well-preserved houses dating back to medieval times. The town also offers a number of great places to eat and drink as well as some fascinating independent shops and boutiques.
Nature lovers will be delighted by the beautiful countryside that surrounds The Carriage House. This area offers plenty of scenic walks that take you across footpaths, bridleways and canal towpaths. Other popular attractions nearby include Warwick Castle, Kenilworth Castle, the Roman town of Alcester and nearby Lapworth’s two fascinating National Trust properties - Baddesley Clinton and Packwood House.
