Rest up and unwind in style with your loved ones at The Cabin, a secluded retreat in South Devon that is surrounded by nature. With its fabulous Nordic design, this wooden lodge can sleep up to six guests, making it perfect for your next family trip or break with friends. This stylish, yet rustic hideaway has cosy living spaces and a nice outdoors area where you can sit with a drink and listen to the sounds of the River Gara below.
Inside, The Cabin has a bright and airy living room that offers nice views of the surrounding greenery thanks to large floor-to-ceiling windows. This space, with its wooden walls and whitewashed ceiling, is a lovely spot for socialising and guests can fire up the log burner in winter to stay toasty and warm as they enjoy a drink on the big comfy sofas and catch up by the fire. There's also a big TV that's perfect for movie nights!
The beautiful green kitchen has lots of work surface space to make meal prep a breeze. The kitchen is also nicely equipped with all the amenities you need to cook up delicious meals for your group during your stay. Guests can enjoy meals at the chunky wooden dining table, or outside on the deck whilst taking in the fresh country air. This marvellous outdoor space is surrounded by greenery and has comfy outdoor seating where you can enjoy meals together or sit with your morning coffee as you plot the day's adventures. Guests can also pop down into the pretty surrounding woodland where they'll find a firepit. Here you can toast marshmallows and sit staying nice and warm as you gaze up at the stars.
Back inside, The Cabin has three comfy bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, then there's one room with two twin beds, and one room that has a single bed and a pull-out trundle bed. The bedrooms are simple and stylish with whitewashed walls, wooden floors, quaint pieces of artwork and small windows that offer nice woodland views. The property also features a sleek and modern bathroom with a shower, WC and basin.
The Cabin sits in a secret, ancient wood that is full of oak, beech, sycamore, elder, willow and alder trees and there are rare orchids, blankets of bluebells, purple foxgloves, wild garlic and red campion growing throughout. If you keep your eyes peeled you might spot otters travelling down the river and owls swooping through the night sky. There are also bats and moths, brown trout and slow worms, dragonflies and demoiselles in the area, making it a nature lover's dream.
If you want to venture out and explore, you're only two miles from Slapton Beach, Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve and the delightful Stokeley Farm Shop and Café. You can also get to the South West Coastal Path with ease, which offers a great way to explore the nearby beaches and cliffs. The nearby villages and restaurants are also fab, so there's something to please everyone.
