Guests may grill the day's catch over hot coals, sip chilled wine and take in the views of the ocean. Enjoy the final moments of daylight while feasting at the large outdoor dining table, that makes alfresco meal times a joy.
Should the air turn chilly and tired legs seek soft seating, the magnificent living and dining area has plenty of large sofas and comfy armchairs where families can curl up together and spot stars through the huge windows or settle in for movie or game night. If a squall rolls in, enjoy cosy dinners at the Scandi-style wooden dining table which sits beside the modern and well-equipped kitchen area. The space has a stunning vaulted ceiling which, combined with the neutral colour scheme and multitude of windows, creates a bright, welcoming space, great to hang out in.
At the end of the day, tired heads will rest easy in any of the six luxurious bedrooms, five are king size and one is a twin. Four of the bedrooms have stunning ensuite bathrooms and all offer high quality mattresses and bedding. Several of the rooms have direct access to the secluded garden. Stroll out with a morning coffee and take in the sounds and scents of the sea.
The Anchorage is a beautiful home and, due to its wonderful proximity to the beach, it's quite possible to remain within walking distance of the property for the entire stay. Be sure to take walks over the rolling hills, stroll to the beach for wild swims or just chill out at home admiring the views. Surfers and those looking for some nightlife should head over to Newquay where they will discover the popular Fistral surf beach and plenty of bars and clubs. While Padstow is a favourite with food lovers, with a number of lovely eateries in the town including Rick Stein's Restaurant.
