Luxurious and elegant, modern and classic, Tatham House makes a wonderful destination for holidaying with large groups of family and friends. From the moment guests pull up the grand driveway and step into the entrance hall of this stunning property, they will leave the daily stresses behind and get into relaxation mode. It's a home full of character with wood panelling, original coving, exquisite tiling and beautiful sash windows but with all the modern luxuries and conveniences essential for a truly fun and relaxing stay.
There is plenty to keep everybody entertained whatever the demographic. Spend afternoons splashing about in the indoor heated swimming pool, perhaps challenge friends to a game of tennis on the all-season court or enjoy a game of pool or par billiards. For less energetic pursuits, head to the cinema room and sink into the large corner sofa and settle in for the evening. Turn up the jacuzzi for relaxing soaks, or simply sit on the tiled terrace with a cool drink and enjoy the peaceful lawned gardens.
Food is the key to every successful gathering and Tatham House kitchen has everything needed for catering large groups, including a range double oven, a wine cooler, an American sized fridge and a large kitchen island where guests can pitch-in chopping, slicing and pouring drinks. A magnificent wooden dining table is situated to the side of the kitchen and has plenty of room for all 22 guests. Laden it with plates piled with goodies and brimming glasses for memorable meals which stretch late into the night.
After dinner, there are plenty of spots in the house for those looking for some quiet relaxation. Cosy lounges make the perfect destination for quiet games of scrabble or a post-lunch snooze. Vintage furniture, huge windows offering views across the perfectly tendered lawns and high ceilings create a grand atmosphere. Large fireplaces create a warm atmosphere on chilly evenings.
When bedtimes calls there are ten exquisite bedrooms, all individually decorated and all with ensuite bathrooms for added privacy. Pretty wall papers, vintage furniture, crisp high-quality linens and bedding ensure guests have a deep, luxurious night's sleep. Two of the rooms can be found on the ground floor which is especially useful for guests with mobility issues.
Thatham House has everything groups could need for a fun, relaxing stay but there are plenty of extra activities which can be organised and enjoyed at the property, from laser shooting, spa treatments and bouncy castle hire to murder mystery weekends, casino nights and gin tasting. A range of catering companies can be organised to take care of the food so visitors can concentrate on having thoroughly good time.
