Located on Cornwall’s beautiful south coast with far-reaching views out to sea and over Talland Bay, Studio Cottage is nestled into the hillside on its own secluded estate. This enchanting house has a very unique character and history, starting life as an artist studio and now lovingly revived whilst keeping the spirit of the building intact. Discover the six acres of grounds, encompassing woodland, stream and lawns or simply soak up the sweeping views of the bay.
After long days exploring the coast, enjoy hearty dinners with friends and family in the large dining area with its grand medieval style window and ringside seating to relish the spectacular sea views. Afterwards, snuggle up around the warm log-burning fire and delve into the big wooden games chest before retiring to bed for a quiet and peaceful night's rest.
Studio Cottage is in a heavenly seaside meets country location and makes for a perfect escape whatever the season. There is ample space for groups of friends and family in the large living and entertaining areas and four bedrooms, three boasting super king-sized beds, sleeping up to 10 in total, plus two big bathrooms. The traditional country-style kitchen features two ovens, hob, coffee machine and a dishwasher and there’s plenty of pots and pans for cooking. There’s a handy boot room for everyone’s muddy wellies, beach gear and coats. Should you need a moment to yourself, there’s a cosy reading room where you can curl up on the sofa or relax in the rocking chair and unwind with a good book.
You’ll find the master bedroom on the ground floor boasting a super king-sized bed and gorgeous sea views as well as having its own door out onto the terrace. It has an ensuite bathroom with a large bath and a double shower enclosure with body jets. The other three bedrooms are upstairs on the first floor. The two family bedrooms both have a super king-sized bed plus an extra single bed and each have wonderful views out to sea. There is also a little twin bedroom overlooking the pretty walled garden. The family bathroom on this floor features both a bath and a separate shower. The outside utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. The property has a gated front entrance and a long driveway leading to an area for parking your cars.
Wander through the grounds to the woodland trail and down the private steps to the stream, and follow the path to the café and two beaches below. Talland Bay is in a sheltered cove, making it perfect for swimming and snorkelling. You can hire kayaks from the café to explore the coast from the water. With easy access to the South West Coastal path from the cottage, it’s ideal for walkers and a great way to soak up the stunning scenery. Venture a little further along the coast to the picturesque fishing villages of Polperro and Looe or head inland to the Eden Project. There’s plenty to do in the area to keep all ages amused.
