The Details...

Picture yourself as the Laird of the manor during your stay at this magnificent Victorian hunting lodge, over looking the Scottish waterways of Loch Tay.

With enough room to sleep up to 29 people, this is the ultimate in grandeur for your group get together or family occasion.

Currently in the process of being renovated, the owners of Stucktaymore already have a wealth of experience at offering first class, truly grand holiday homes in the already established Stuckgowan and Stuckdarach homes on Loch Lomond. The most recent edition to their faultless portfolio Stucktaymore, will be ready to welcome guests from March 2017. But don’t be put off by it’s yet unfinished condition. If the owners other properties are anything to go by, Stucktaymore will offer opulence throughout every room of this resplendent historical house.

The accommodation on offer is immense. The owners have worked hard to ensure that despite the generous scale of the house, every room feels cosy, warm and comfortable. Take for example the traditional snug room situated on the ground floor. With exposed brickwork, a roaring open fireplace surrounded by a traditional stone hearth and plenty of wrought iron lighting fixtures, this room is reminiscent of a medieval castle. Huge, deep leather sofas rest next to solid wood tables and grand wing back chairs provide enough space for your party to enjoy a hot toddy or two around the open fire.

The sitting room offers soft, deep pile rugs, rustic leather furnishings and the most magnificent views across the Loch. This room is perfect for entertaining, or for quiet contemplation as you behold the vista from the panoramic windows in front of you.

The kitchen will be the focal point for the whole house, with top quality fixtures and fittings, as well as a table fit for a king, from which you can all enjoy family meals together enjoying the warmth from the Aga.

If you prefer a more formal dining experience, take your meals in the splendour of the dining room, with its banquet table and substantial chandeliers. From the dining room there is archway access to the living area with it’s views across the loch, making it a just a short hop from the table to enjoy after dinner drinks in comfort.

Stucktaymore offers a variety of sleeping combinations. All bedrooms offer either a kingsize or double bed, some with an additional single bed making them perfect for families. As a nice touch, all the rooms are named after birds you would find on the Lochs.

Take for example the Kingfisher room. A sumptuous mixture of bright kingfisher blue touches, and traditional wooden beds and furniture. The king size four poster bed is as substantial as you would expect to find in a house of this quality, with a further single bed for extra guests. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities in brand new, luxury shower or bath rooms.

The Capercaillie room is another fine bedroom offering a wrought iron bedstead, contemporary red, black and grey soft finishings and stunning high back chairs that offer a nod towards the Gothic. Or perhaps you would rather stay in The Peregrine bedroom, with it’s natural stone flooring, high beams, exposed brick walls and vaulted ceiling. With bohemian throws and cushions on the large wooden bed, this room is just about as cosy as they come. Whichever one of the 13 bedrooms you choose, you will not be disappointed by the stunning interior design of each and every one.

But that’s not all, Stucktaymore also offers a well stocked library with leather sofas, soft lighting and sumptuous cushions and throws for you to quietly finish your latest novel in. As well as a fully equipped media and entertainment room in the basement with an 80’ inch screen TV, DVD player Sky TV and an Xbox One.

Should you feel the need to venture away from Stucktaymore, take a boat trip on Loch Tay or treat yourself to a round of golf at one of the many nearby golf courses.

Stucktaymore is a magnificent country house presented in the very finest condition, loving tailored to suit the requirements of large parties. Everything you need is there for you.
