Luxury ‘moonshine shack’ for two with private porch and outdoor hot tub – a unique and romantic getaway to the Cornish countryside.
Please note that the minimum stay for this property is 3 nights
Be transported to the American Frontier in this luxurious holiday home with a western twist, nestled away in the Cornish countryside. The perfect romantic escape for couples, the cosy cabin has everything you could need for a memorable stay, including a porch overlooking your own orchard and a hot tub where you can enjoy a relaxing soak with a bottle of something (moonshine optional!). Although totally private, the hosts live nearby and are always on hand to help if needed, and even provide a complimentary welcome hamper full of goodies.
The unique property has been purpose built to recreate a shack from the Wild West. For guests to experience a slice of prohibition America, the interior is packed full of carefully curated curiosities like bespoke artwork, quirky trinkets and ethically sourced taxidermy. You’ll also have all the modern comforts of home and more, such as a smart TV, Wi-Fi, a kitchen equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and a bathroom with a power shower and rolltop bath (fluffy cotton towels, bathrobes and toiletries are provided).
There’s plenty of space to relax and unwind in and outside the house. Inside you’ll find a cosy living area with a leather sofa opposite a roaring open fire - a lovely spot to curl up with a good book or snuggle up and watch a film - and a dining table to enjoy a candlelit meal for two. When it’s time to sleep, guests can retire to the bedroom and the seriously comfortable king size bed. French doors in the bedroom lead out onto the porch, the ideal place to kick back and take in the idyllic view of the sun setting over your private orchard. Or, of course, you can spend your evenings soaking in the hot tub under the stars.
The Still House is surrounded by picturesque countryside. Rolling hills, green pastures and woodlands full of wildlife are all waiting to be explored, and there are several scenic footpaths right on your doorstep. One of these leads to the quaint and quiet village of Marhamchurch, which has a charming local pub and village shop to stock up on holiday essentials.
The vibrant seaside town of Bude is a short drive away (or you could get a bus from Marhamchurch if you wanted to leave the car behind) and is home to glorious beaches, fantastic eateries and a whole host of things to do and places to visit for all ages – just ask the helpful hosts for some recommendations.
Nightly cost may vary from £200 to £240 depending on season
