The Arbour is a gorgeous piece of land situated in some marvellous Herefordshire countryside near the Welsh border, with panoramic vistas and a view of Hay Bluff and the Black Mountains. It is also home to Russet Cabin. This handcrafted bolthole for two has been expertly built and caringly decorated by its owners, with charm and comfort found in equal measure. With its modern amenities, elevated decking, and relaxing hot tub, staying put certainly wouldn't be an unwise choice. Should you wish to explore the region however, one of Wales's National Parks is just a short drive away across the border. Just don't forget to bring a good pair of walking shoes!
"Sustainability" is the word of the day at Russet. The cabin has been artisanally built to the highest of standards using a variety of reclaimed materials, while naturally occurring and eco-friendly fabrics can be found throughout the interior - adding to its distinct personality. Upon entering, you will come upon the living area. It contains a built-in couch which looks out through the large picture window. Here, you can take in the arresting views of the surrounding scenery, or just curl up in front of the cosy wood burner with a good book. Guests will love the views of Hay Bluff and the picturesque Black Mountains.
The kitchen area comes well-equipped and there is a little breakfast bar for two. Off to the side is the bedroom, complete with a comfortable king size bed and plenty of clothes storage. The separate bathroom comes with a WC, basin, and a walk-in rainfall shower. Step outside and onto the decking area where there is outdoor seating, a couple of sun loungers, and a deep hot tub. There is also a firepit which is perfect for stargazing in the evenings, or just enjoying a warm beverage before you set off to explore the countryside.
The area is teaming with various trails for cycling, walking, and hiking, making it a firm favourite with outdoor enthusiasts. The nearby woodland provides its own relaxing setting for a walk, while the Brilley Dingle nature reserve is not far from The Arbour. Your cabin is situated in Herefordshire right near the Welsh Border with great access to the Brecon Beacons National Park, so you won't have far to go to explore one of the UK's most scenic regions. Also close to the cabin is the River Wye, where you can enjoy a spot of canoeing or kayaking. There are a few local companies to rent from and your hosts will be glad to help you with storage during your stay.
