This contemporary and stylish cottage is tucked away in the pretty market town of Kirkby Lonsdale with some of the country’s most spectacular landscapes right on the doorstep. It is situated in the Lune Valley between the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland. The cottage itself has been converted into luxurious holiday accommodation for up to four, complete with a hot tub in the garden, perfect after a long day’s walking in the surrounding fells.
The interior has been designed and furnished in a contemporary style and neutral tones, making the cottage welcoming and relaxing. The living room is flooded with natural light thanks to the huge glass doors leading out to the private patio. It’s a cosy spot to relax whatever the weather outside with underfloor heating, and a big comfy sofa in front of a stove. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances you’ll need for a fuss-free self-catering holiday, including a dishwasher. There’s also a dining area for four inside and outdoor furniture for alfresco meals out on the patio. You’ll also find a table and chairs on the roof garden area which is the perfect place to sip your morning coffee or enjoy a cocktail in the evening.
There are two luxurious bedrooms, one with a super king-size bed which can be made up as two singles if required and a king-size room. They share a designer bathroom which has a huge walk-in shower and a large bath for relaxing soaks after long walks in the Lake District or the Yorkshire Dales.
Despite being located in a quiet part of the town with beautiful views over the surrounding fells, it is just a minute’s walk into the centre of Kirkby Lonsdale. There’s plenty to discover here with independent shops, welcoming cafes and excellent restaurants. The main draw is the stunning natural landscape on all sides and there are walks along the river and across the fells right from the front door. If you go a little further and venture into one of the national parks, you’ll be rewarded with some of the most spectacular scenery in the country.
