At the end of a meandering country lane, past traditional stone walls and livestock grazing in green pastures, this cosy converted barn is a romantic getaway where countryside comfort is done with style.
This cosy converted barn sits in a peaceful spot surrounded by lush fields and stunning views. Its traditional stone exterior has been updated whilst holding on to many of its original 16th Century origins but stepping inside is truly 21st Century experience.
Intimate and snug visitors enter into the luxurious, open plan, kitchen/dining and living area.The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, larder fridge and Denby pottery crockery. A small window offers tantalising glimpses of the views beyond.
Eco-heating is set at an ambient temperature but, should guests want extra warmth, or simply a romantic atmosphere, there a modern wood burner sitting in the corner of the living area. The fire invites guests to snuggle amongst the sheepskin throws and woollen throws and enjoy a film on the wall-mounted flat screen television, or merely sip on a glass of wine and watch the flames flicker and sparks dance.
There is a healthy supply of wood to keep guests cosy throughout the stay. At bedtime guests can climb the elegant oak stairwell into the airy bedroom which boasts a fabulous floating double bed. Dressed in Egyptian linen and sumptuous with an abundance of cushions and throws, it guarantees a good night's sleep and late morning lie-ins as guests relax and enjoy the views of the fields and valley beyond.
The bedroom features glass floor panels which give a three dimensional aspect to the space, deep event windows are uplit by smart candles. The bedroom is ensuite and the modern, luxurious bathroom features a power shower and lots of hot water.
Little Barn can be found in the peaceful Manifold Valley and there are many beautiful walks to be enjoyed from the door including hikes to Thor's Cave and plenty of breath taking view points. Guests wanting to quench a thirst will be spoilt by the plethora of traditional country pubs in the area including The Black Lion at Butterton and The Royal Oak at Wetterton.
