Tucked away in a quiet corner of the Liddel Valley, this luxurious log cabin provides a cosy retreat for couples or families. After a day exploring the surrounding woodlands or going for long walks along the river, you can choose between snuggling up in front of the wood burner or relaxing in the hot tub. The river flows right by the cabin and you can sit out on the deck enjoying your meals outside as you soak up the view over the water which marks the historic English and Scottish border.

The cabin feels cosy and welcoming from the moment you step inside. The warm tones of the huge logs used for the frame and the stylish Scandinavian-style decor create a relaxing atmosphere that invites you to put your feet up and settle into a slower pace of life. Start the day with a big breakfast around the table before heading out to explore Carlisle or even the Lake District nearby. The fully equipped kitchen will help you rustle up all the family favourites and after dinner, everyone can get cosy in front of the wood burner with a film on the smart TV.

There are two bedrooms, one featuring a luxurious king size bed and the other with two single beds. They both have doors which lead out onto the deck and they share a family bathroom with a freestanding bathtub. After a stroll through the woods, enjoy a bit of quiet time with a soak in the bath or relax in the hot tub out on the deck. You’ll also find a BBQ and some outdoor seating outside, so you can make the most of that spectacular view.

There’s plenty of exploring to do in the area, from a relaxed stroll along the river to tackling the fells of the Lake District which is 40 minutes away from the cabin. Head to the historic city of Carlisle, just 15 miles away and with plenty of restaurants and shopping opportunities. Any keen cyclists might want to try out one of the 7stanes mountain biking trails in the south of Scotland or you might prefer a day at Kielder Water and Forest Park which offers sailing, hiking and cycling.
