The Details...

With a penthouse master bedroom looking out over Falmouth Bay, Pentreath is a luxurious holiday home which enjoys some of Cornwall’s finest views. There’s room for up to seven guests at this luxurious property, a short walk from the village of Mawnan Smith and Maenporth beach.

All of the rooms at Pentreath – bar that magnificent penthouse bedroom – are found on the ground floor. You have two large living spaces, including a drawing room with a huge corner sofa and widescreen TV. Adjacent to this is a bright open-plan kitchen, dining and living space, overlooking both the large, secluded garden and the sea.

The kitchen is perhaps the focal point of the house, and is equipped with everything from a dishwasher and wine cooler to an American-style fridge freezer. A dining table seats up to eight, with another space to chill out on the sofa nearby. A full wall of bi-fold doors down one side gives this space a very special view of the garden, and lots of natural light.

The garden itself is located next to quiet farmland and extends down to the sea. You have a seating area with a sofa and picnic bench, plus a fire pit to keep things cosy. It’s also the perfect place to enjoy a barbecue.

Two double bedrooms and one single bedroom, plus a family bathroom and wet room can be found downstairs. On the upper level, the master bedroom has a super king-size bed, plenty of wardrobe space and the very best views. A small balcony with two chairs provides an elevated vantage point to enjoy watching the boats down at the bay.

All this will provide you with a beautiful combination of indoor and outdoor living, and the location could hardly be better. You can wander down to the village where a pub, café, convenience store and tapas restaurant await you, and it’s just a short drive into Falmouth where you will find many more great places to eat and drink, as well as the National Maritime Museum.

There are plenty of charming little beaches to discover along the coast, including at Helford Passage where the gastropub, The Ferryboat, sits by the river, just down the road from the beautiful Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens – either of which is well worth a visit.
