Leave a reviewStayed 1 night for our wedding anniversary. Great location, sitting outside in the evening looking over the Somerset countryside. Martine was a great host with recommendations for places to eat. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The Shepherd hut was lovely, very clean. Perfect for any couple. Would definitely recommend this place.

We had a wonderful time at Peak Barn the host Martine was most accommodating, nothing was too much. The shepherds hut was absolutely beautiful just the kind of retreat to chill and recharge your batteries. It was very nice to arrive at the hut to find lovely fresh picked flowers and fruit from their garden. The views from the hut were amazing with a lovely patio and garden area where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine which we did each evening, a big 'Thank You' to Martine and her husband for making us feel very at home, will return.

Such lovely hosts! The Shepherds hut was immaculate. We loved sitting on the patio and soaking up the amazing views. Beautiful walks right from the backyard, including a trip to Cheddar Gorge. We were beyond impressed with the hosts piano studio and beautiful flower garden. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique countryside getaway! We would love to stay again.

This was such a perfect little getaway for our anniversary and Martine was nothing but accommodating. This could not have been in a more perfect location too, just a stones throw away from Cheddar, about 30mins from Glastonbury and even Weston-super-Mare, you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to days out . The views you get from the hut are stunning and even when it rains the sound is so calming. Thank you for hosting us and we would love to come back soon.

We stayed at the shepherds hut for two nights and were made to feel extremely welcomed by Martine. She was brilliant from the outset with local recommendations before we even arrived. The views from the hut are gorgeous and we had a very relaxing time! The location is also very good - only a short drive away from Cheddar Gorge. We will definitely return!

Arranged to stay here for 2 nights for my partners birthday with a surprise engagement. Martine and Guiseppe were both so helpful and accommodating to all my request even playing songs on the piano for the special night and cooking dinner! The views are amazing and only a short drive from some lovely places. We can’t wait to come back here again as our special place.
