If you're after a romantic getaway for two amidst some of the most gorgeous countryside the UK has to offer, then look no further than Pax Cabin. Sitting on a private piece of land called the Arbor, this artisan-built cabin has been expertly constructed and meticulously decorated by the owners. Besides its modern amenities, outdoor decking, and deep hot tub, you will be ideally situated in some stunning Herefordshire countryside right by the Welsh border. So, should you wish to explore this beautiful part of the UK, there will be nothing to stop you. Just remember to bring your walking shoes!
With an eco-friendly approach firmly in mind, Pax Cabin has been built using re-claimed timbers. All the while, natural fabrics have been added to the interior, giving the cabin a unique depth of character. You will enter the cabin and step into the living area, which is a charming open-planned space. It boasts a wood burning stove (wood provided), a flat screen TV, and a two-seater couch pointed at the main feature: the large picture window. This window offers uninterrupted views of the gorgeous surrounding scenery. Guests will love cosying up by the fireplace in the evening with a good book and a glass of wine, or sitting there enjoying the view with a morning coffee before setting off for the day.
The small kitchen is surprisingly well equipped, while a breakfast bar for two faces the window. Separate from the living area is the bedroom, where you will find a luxurious king size bed and ample storage. Adjoined is the ensuite bathroom, complete with WC, basin, and a walk-in rainfall shower. Outside is the decking area, with outdoor seating and your own hot tub, offering the ideal place to relax and unwind after a day exploring the local area. Lastly, you will find a charming firepit space. This tranquil little area is a unique spot for enjoying a morning coffee or taking in the arresting night-time skies.
With its numerous walking, hiking, and cycling trails, the area is popular with lovers of the great outdoors. Nearby, there is a gorgeous woodland, great for a relaxing walk. Brilley Dingle nature reserve is a stone's throw from the Arbour too. You are also ideally positioned right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Barely a 10-minute drive away, you will find Hay on Wye. This quaint market town, known as a "town of Books", has lots of independently owned shops, bars, cafés, eateries, and even a weekly market. It also hosts the yearly Hay Festival of Literature & Arts. Near to the Arbour is the River Wye, a perfect spot for canoeing or kayaking. There are several local companies to hire from and your hosts will be happy to provide storage.
