This beautiful Victorian, brick, semi-detached cottage is ideally located for those wishing to explore the area on foot and would be perfect for three couples or a family wanting a holiday right by the sea. Set over three storeys, Old Vines Cottage has wonderful sea views from two of its three bedrooms and has been tastefully decorated throughout.
The front door leads you through to the lounge which is light and airy with a large corner sofa and a wall-mounted Smart TV that is perfect for movie nights after a lazy day on the beach. The hosts have also provided books and games if you fancy a more old school holiday without screens.
The kitchen is large and has a dining table which comfortably seats six. The kitchen itself is fully equipped with an induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine, meaning you have all you need to whip up delicious meals for your group. This room is a good spot for that first coffee as you make your plans for the day. And if the weather isn't warm enough for al fresco dining it's just right for a lazy supper with your loved ones.
When you head up to the first floor you'll find the spacious master bedroom which has a lovely view of the beach and the sea. The room's comfy king sized bed allows you to doze off to the sound of the ocean and wake to the fresh smell of sea air. There's also a family bathroom on this floor with a large walk-in shower and a separate WC.
On the second floor you'll find the other two bedrooms. The first has a king sized bed and pretty shuttered windows with more magnificent sea views. And the third is slightly smaller with sloping ceilings. It has a lovely big king sized bed but might be better suited to kids or not too tall people.
Returning to the ground floor, the back door leads you to the patio garden which is enclosed and safe for a dog or child wanting to explore. There's a wicker seating area and a dining table with chairs, a great spot for a sun downer.
The parking area is in front of the garden and can accommodate one large or two small cars. The gate to the garden can be closed when only one car is parked so bear that in mind if you are bringing pets or children.
You'll be a minute's stroll from the beach and the property is within easy walking distance of the shops where you can buy fresh caught fish. Or, why not enjoy one of the many fab local restaurants nearby? One of the real treats of this holiday home is that it's stumbling distance from the Old Neptune Pub or 'The Neppy' as it's affectionately known. A gorgeous early 19th century pub that is one of only a handful of pubs to be found ON the beaches of Britain. The Old Neptune offers a wonderful choice of local ales, continental lagers, an extensive wine list and great home cooked food for you to savour whilst watching the world famous Whitstable sunsets.
