If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and get away to the peace and quiet of the rolling countryside of the Scottish Borders, Nenthorn Village Hall could be just the place for you. This stone-built home has been sympathetically renovated and retains many of the original period features of the village hall, with the bonus of high-end fixtures and fittings, top quality furnishings and a luxurious finish.
The open plan living and kitchen area is a spacious room with wooden flooring throughout and a light neutral colour scheme which adds to the tranquil ambience. The comfortable lounge with its wood burning stove is the ideal spot to unwind and warm up with a hot chocolate after a day’s exploring or to plot your next adventure. There are plenty of logs on hand to keep you cosy. Arched leadlight windows and exposed brickwork gives a sense of the history around you.
The modern kitchen features integrated appliances including washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher and contains all the appliances you will need to prepare a hearty meal - why not give the local haggis a go? There is also a large breakfast bar with seating for four so that everybody can chip in with cooking tips or just watch you do the work! The complimentary welcome pack including water, milk, orange, tea, coffee and sugar is a lovely added touch.
Both double bedrooms are luxuriously furnished with sumptuous bedding and fabrics in pale colours with cushions and throws adding touches of elegance. The arched windows and skylights in the high, sloped ceilings add further natural light to the already airy rooms.
The ultra-modern white bathroom with its marble floors and freestanding, double-ended bath is chic and spa-like. Fresh, fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries plus flooding light from the arched window and skylight complete the luxury experience.
The outside area features comfortable garden seating for you to enjoy your drinks under the stars.
You’ll be spoiled for choice with many activities on your doorstep. As well as the nearby pretty town of Kelso with its plethora of shops, cafes and pubs, the Borders is a paradise for walkers with 1500 miles of dedicated walking routes. If you fancy a flutter, Kelso Races is the ideal place to visit for a first-time race goer or a seasoned professional and for golfing fans, the Borders caters for all levels of ability with fun practice ranges for those who want to learn. The River Tweed is one of the prime salmon fishing rivers in the world but also a beautiful spot for those who just want a lazy day by the water.
