Enjoy luxury shepherds hut glamping at this charming and traditional Surrey pub with its own llama herd.
The Merry Harriers Inn & Shepherds Huts is owned and managed by Jake Andreou.
The Merry Harriers is a traditional 16th century pub with added shepherds hut accommodation and a friendly herd of llamas, in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Situated in the pretty little village of Hambledon in the peaceful Surrey countryside, the Merry Harriers offers a relaxed stay, with 15 comfortable en-suite rooms in total, each sleeping 2 guests. Choose from the traditional rooms above the pub itself; the six cosy garden rooms, separate from the inn; or the five new luxury shepherds huts in the field next to the pub.
Situated in an open field around a central pond, each shepherds hut is en suite, with a king-size bed, little kitchen with a fridge, sink, and tea and coffee makers, and underfloor heating. There's a wood-burner for chilly winter nights, or a fire pit outside for the warmer months. You'll also find a complimentary bottle of rose wine in the fridge when you arrive.
You'll have some unusual neighbours at the Merry Harriers - the herd of 12 llamas who live in the paddocks behind the pub. You'll see lots of these these lovely animals during your stay and you can even book a llama trek, where you go for a picnic with them in the Surrey Hills.
The pub itself is a wonderful old village inn, full of character and tradition. It welcomes children and four-legged friends and has a lovely pub garden, with boules and a children's play area. It also has an excellent dining room, serving delicious seasonal and local produce.
Gatwick Airport is approx 30 miles, an hour's drive away.
