The Details...

Located in the peaceful village of Penrose, this cottage and accompanying courtyard mixes traditional Cornish decor with stylish modern features to create the perfect coastal retreat.

Whether you are looking for an action-packed week in the South West countryside, or want to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this ticks all the boxes.

The self-catering cottage sleeps eight across four double bedrooms - two of which have accompanying en-suites - with both children and dogs also welcome.

Its large library gives you the chance to enjoy a book overlooking the beautiful surrounding scenery, or curled up in front of the wood burning stove.

You can also learn to cook like Rick Stein himself by taking part in the newly launched cookery school, inspired by his new book 'Long Weekends'.

The course, which takes place between 8.45am and 4pm, will show you how to cook six great recipes either side of eating lunch prepared by the chefs and enjoying a glass of wine overlooking the Camel Estuary.
Penrose is just 6 miles from Padstow on the North Cornwall coast and is ideal for those wanting a holiday of activities or a quiet break.

The surrounding coastline offers some of the best surfing conditions in the UK, as well as many opportunities for a fishing trip. Why not also bring your canine friend along to this dog-friendly property and enjoy one of the many coastal walks available in the nearby area.

To experience some of the finest dining in the South West you can be chauffeur-driven to and from the Seafood Restaurant, Rick Stein's famous establishment in Padstow, where you can taste a variety of local produce at a priority table booking.

The fishing town of Padstow boasts a number of other great restaurants, pubs and eateries, with Rick Stein's Cafe, Fish and Chip Shop and Fisheries and Seafood Bar just a short walk away; along with St Petroc's Bistro and Ruby's Bar.
