Mandalay is a spacious holiday home in the beautiful coastal Devon town of Salcombe. This expansive property is perfect for a gathering of family or friends and is located in a peaceful and relaxing area away from the hustle and bustle.
Sleeping up to 12 guests, there are expansive social spaces throughout so everyone can enjoy spending time together. The open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area flows wonderfully, with comfy sofas sitting in front of the bay window in the sitting area, which allows light to flood in. This then moves into the fully equipped kitchen and dining area, complete with a convection hob, microwave, oven, dishwasher, American fridge/freezer, island with high stools, and large dining table and chairs.
There is also a utility room with a washing machine and dryer, as well as a further fridge and freezer in the garage. For those who want to escape for some quiet time, then the separate TV room with cosy seating is the ideal place to do that.
There are eight double bedrooms, two of which are en-suite, in the main section of the house. There is then a family bathroom and a shower room, while two more guests can sleep in the annexe above the garage. In this self-contained area, there is not only a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, but also a kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge box, as well as a balcony with outdoor furniture.
Speaking of outside, Mandalay is set in landscaped grounds and has plenty to offer. The huge decked area at the front stretches the entire length of the house and has both a dining area and seated space, along with stunning views to the water beyond. Elsewhere is a summer house with decking and a charcoal barbecue.
Salcombe is a gem in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has a picturesque harbour and amazing beaches. It is brimming with independent shops, wonderful pubs and bars, and superb restaurants. It centres around the water and for those who want to get out on it there are plenty of opportunities for sailing and boat trips.
