The pretty Loch View Cottage boasts glorious loch views and cosy, yet contemporary, cottage interiors. The log burner and underfloor heating will keep you toasty during the winter months - whilst in the summer you can enjoy the beautiful cottage garden. And being nestled near the seaside village of Rockcliffe means there are coastal or countryside pursuits aplenty.
Head up the gravel drive to this pretty-as-a-picture cottage. Inside there is a large open-plan kitchen and dining room. With light flooding in through the ceiling windows, a bright modern fitted kitchen, and a cosy log burner, it’s a wonderfully welcome space any time of year. The kitchen is well equipped with a double oven, grill, microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Choose to sit at the country cottage table or on the comfortable leather sofa next to the fire - either way, it guarantees that the designated chef never gets lonely. There’s also a snug/sitting room with a Smart TV, DVD player and underfloor heating - it’s the perfect nook to huddle down with family or friends.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms (one twin, one double) both are dual aspect and have views to rear over rolling galloway countryside. The double has a luxury wool 2000 pocket sprung king size bed, whilst the twin has two pretty cream wrought iron beds. And both rooms are stylishly dressed with crisp white linen and beautiful textiles.
There is also a family bathroom and a separate shower room. Both are finished to a high standard, with the tiled-flooring and retain the traditional cottage feel.
Outside there is a pretty garden with two picture perfect seating areas. And for the warmer months, there’s a Weber BBQ to get cooking on.
The location is idyllic with a village shop and seasonal tea room within easy walking distance. There are plenty of walks from the door - choose from loch side, coastal or forest walks. For those that prefer two wheels there is the thrilling 7Stanes mountain biking centre located at nearby Dalbeattie Forest. Or, if you’re more of a seafaring person, then the sailing village of Kippford is just a stroll away along the Jubilee Path.
