The Details...

La Ferme de Margot is a beautifully designed chalet with Farrow and Ball paintwork and stunning touches throughout. In this gorgeously converted farmhouse you’ll find an eclectic mix of styles, with contemporary touches such as bright orange pops of colour with traditional materials such as the honeyed, reclaimed wood of the old barn. There is a lavish feel throughout, especially at the top of the house where you find a velvet sofa designed especially for the chalet, plus a sophisticated dining area.

La Ferme de Margot has five bedrooms, including doubles and twins that can be zipped together to create super kings. Some have their own dressing room, others have an in-room bath or separate en suite shower or bathroom, but all are well-appointed and are plentifully stocked with Cowshed toiletries. Some have views of the Pleney Mountain too, while others have views of the pretty woods at the back of the chalet. One of the five bedrooms is a suite that sleeps four, and there are two additional toilets.

The food at La Ferme de Margot is delicious and plentiful. Breakfast consists of a hot special every day, plus choice of cereals, fresh bread from the local bakery, croissants, fruit, and mini smoothies. Afternoon tea at this fully catered chalet consists of a choice of yummy home-made cakes. Dinner starts with canapés and drinks followed by a three-course meal with cheese at the end.

This Morzine chalet is located on the quiet side of Morzine in a very French neighbourhood and just seven minutes’ walk along the flat and across the foot bridge from the Super Morzine lift. In-resort transport is not included, but it is not really needed for getting to either the Pleney lift for the nursery slopes or the Ardent lift for a quick route up to the Swiss side. There is a bus which runs in both directions less than a minute away from the chalet.

Morzine is located in the vast Portes du Soleil ski area which has a huge amount of skiing and absolutely something for everyone. It boasts 650km of pistes. The Pleney lift is the main, central lift for Morzine and Les Gets where most of the ski schools are based, and there is a state of the art new Prodains lift for accessing the Avoriaz side of the ski area.

Morzine is a delightful old town with plenty of charming shopping on offer. Non-skiers can also go snow-shoe walking in the valley along pretty marked trails, go on husky rides or they can meet their skier friends for lunch on the mountain (some restaurants lay on skidoos for non-skiers or are accessible on foot).
