Slide into the bubbles and soak in the ambiance of the beautiful English countryside with a stay at this small but stunning rural getaway. Sitting amongst green pastures, hedgerows and trees, Jed's Sheds oozes off-grid charm.
Wooden steps take guests into a cute kitchenette. This small area is incredibly well-equipped with a fridge, ice box and a double gas hob. The kitchen cupboards are a stylish grey and are complimented by the large patterned tiles which form a stylish splash back area. A Bronze tap supplies hot and cold water to the sink and there is a kettle plus an abundance of cooking utensils which hang on the wall from butcher's hooks. A wooden shelf runs across the top of the kitchen where guests will find those all-important wine glasses.
Adjacent to the kitchenette is the magnificent wooden hot tub. Who needs a living room when you can slide directly into your own private spa? Completely private, it offers views of the nearby countryside from a large open window. A wood burner keeps the area cosy and also, with its own grill and oven, provides opportunities to enjoy some open fire cooking.
From the deck, the bathroom can be accessed. Small but perfectly formed, it includes a flushing toilet and an outdoors, hot water bucket-style shower for a fun washing experience in the summer months. After a hard day doing nothing, slip into the double bed for a restful night's sleep in the peace and quiet of the countryside, perhaps only hearing the hoot of the owls. A large wooden headboard sits at the top of the bed and spotlights fill the ceiling, offering mood lighting for night time reading.
At the end of the luxuriously dressed bed, bifold doors open onto a deck which makes the ideal spot for breakfast in the sunshine. A small table and chairs sit on the deck and can be moved to the kitchenette once the sun sets and the night becomes cooler.
Jed's Shed is situated on the western edge of the Cotswold Hills near Mickleton, a traditional village filled with thatched cottages dating back to Tudor times. There are plenty of amenities including a Post Office, general food store, traditional butcher, garage and farm shops. There are two pubs - The King’s Arms and The Butcher’s Arms. The village is also home to two celebrated gardens at Hidcote Manor and Kiftsgate Court. And a visit to the area wouldn't be complete with a trip to Shakespeare's birth place Stratford Upon Avon.
