Here are three exquisite shepherd huts, with the option of hiring an extra hut stretching the site to sleep eight.
This group of huts is exclusively yours, tucked away in the hills, yet just a run back down the hill into Hay-on-Wye and you’ll find plenty of shops and eateries.
A babbling brook, the dramatic expanse of the Brecon Beacons Dark Sky Reserve overhead and there is an optional wood-fired hot tub to luxuriate in. This is a perfect retreat to enjoy the countryside, explore the cultural town of Hay-on-Wye, or simply have a glamping party with friends and family.
These unique shepherd huts include a double bed with linens provided, as well as a wood-burner with logs included. There is also a very well appointed utility hut which includes a shower room and WC.
The kitchen comes equipped with a wood fired Esse stove and sink, plus there’s an additional sleeping hut set apart from the main group, also including double bed and wood-burner (logs provided), should one of your group be in need of some seclusion.
Outside is an open fireplace, with a large fire pit at one end and BBQ at the other and a large canopied dining table.
There is ample parking.
Located in one of the most spectacular locations in the National Park. Nearby Hay-on-Wye has an exceptionally well supplied yet quaint Thursday morning market, pubs, great independent stores and a world famous book festival each May, and is just a few miles away.
The River Wye is far below at the bottom of the mountain, with canoe hire, a great river side cafe, bike, pony and even Vespa hire. For thrill seekers, Black Mountain Activities nearby has a long list of adrenaline-fuelled activities to keep you busy, including gorge walking and high wire ropes.
