A fabulous Scottish country house with direct beach access, surrounded by miles of spectacular countryside.
Holy Loch Manor is listed with us by the managing agent Olivers Travels.
Holy Loch Manor is the perfect place for a wonderful family holiday. It's a traditional Scottish country house with huge lawns sweeping down to the shores of Holy Loch, on the wild and beautiful west coast of Scotland.
The accommodation is flexible, making it ideal for families or groups of friends, with the large five bedroom main house; the self-contained two double-bedroom annex; and the separate Gatehouse, a pretty little cottage just for two.
The decor is homely, cosy, comfortable and traditionally stylish. The main house offers ample living space, with enormous sofas, just right for a nap in front of the fire, and spectacular views across the loch, where in summer you can spot seals and porpoises. There's a large family kitchen complete with an Aga, plus a dining room with room for everyone and yet more gorgeous views.
All the bedrooms have amazing mattresses with high thread-count Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels. Of the five bedrooms in the main house, the master double, with loch views, is en-suite. There are two bedrooms with bunk beds, plus an extra single bed, filled with toys, books and games. There are two further double rooms, one with a magnificent four-poster bed, and one with an en-suite shower room (shared with one of the children's rooms). You'll also find two bathrooms, one family-sized and both with bathtubs and showers.
The annex and the Gatehouse are both self-contained, with their own front doors. The annex, adjoining the main house, has two double bedrooms, a shower room and its own living area, ideal for teenagers, or anyone wanting their own space. The Gatehouse is further from the main house in a secluded spot right by the water's edge. It sleeps two in a double room, with its own kitchen, en-suite, living room, garden room and private waterside terrace - making it the perfect little romantic hideaway.
Holy Loch Manor is in a truly glorious spot, right beside the waters of Holy Loch, with direct access to the little beach. It sits in acres of garden, with huge, well-tended lawns, and lots of adventures to be had on the trampoline and swings, finding the waterfall and the river, or playing with the garden games kept in the boot room.
Beyond the gardens you're surrounded by miles of countryside, the woods, beaches, lochs and mountains of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The scenic little village of Strone is right on the doorstep, and has a Post Office and a little village pub. Food shops are further afield, a short seven mile drive takes you to the town of Dunoon which has a supermarket, a little museum and a few places to eat.
Glasgow Airport is approx 30 miles away.
