This historic Cotswold stone cottage has been beautifully renovated to create a luxurious four bedroom holiday home. Set on the Deer Park Hall Estate, Hollowcombe Cottage is now a cosy hideaway for families or small groups in the heart of the Cotswold countryside. Enjoy long walks straight from the front door, stopping off at pretty market towns and villages along the way before relaxing in your private garden back at the cottage. The fire pit and pretty outdoor lighting mean you can enjoy the outdoors late into the evening and you might even get a visit from the deer who sometimes graze just on the other side of the hedge.
The large kitchen and dining room is the social hub of the cottage. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to rustle up dinner for everyone or prepare some food for the BBQ. There’s a large dining table set in front of bi-fold doors, extending your living space outdoors on warmer days. After dinner, head through to the cosy sitting room with sofas and armchairs gathered around a log burner and plenty of board games to work your way through.
There are four ensuite bedrooms, each individually designed and named after wildlife that’s found on the estate; Barn Owl, Hare, Pheasant and Stag. All of the bedrooms have king size double beds with fine Egyptian cotton bed linen and fluffy towels waiting for you. You’ll find toiletries provided in the stylish, contemporary bathrooms and Barn Owl also has a beautiful free-standing bathtub, perfect for a long soak after a walk up Bredon Hill.
There’s plenty to do in the area and you’ll find lots of activities on the Deer Park Estate itself, including vineyard tours, wine tasting and English safaris through the deer park. The cottage is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are lots of walking trails that you can reach from the front door, including some lovely circular walks featuring stunning views from Bredon Hill. The village of Eckington is just over a mile from the cottage with pubs, shops and the Eckington Manor Restaurant and Cookery School serving up fresh local produce.
