  The Detail...

This gorgeous Victorian villa has been transformed into a boutique hotel with 12 individually furnished rooms. The Town House is a historic listed building located in the pretty Edgbaston Village in the heart of Birmingham, making it perfect for a city break or as a base for exploring the Midlands. All of the bedrooms have been furnished to celebrate the unique character of each of the rooms with antiques alongside luxurious beds and modern ensuite bathrooms. Next door, youll find The High Field, a gastropub which is run in conjunction with the hotel and serves up seasonal British food.

Step into The Town House and youll be greeted by the stylish sitting room where you can relax with a coffee and peruse the paper. The twelve double bedrooms range from the delightful Cosy room to the luxurious Premium rooms with roll-top baths and super king-sized beds. There are also rooms that can be configured as twins if necessary or a comfy folding bed can be added for another guest. Interior design touches such as the carefully chosen antique pieces alongside modern fittings and the feature walls with stunning wallpaper give each room its own character.

Food and drink is all served next door at The High Field. This charming gastropub uses seasonal ingredients to ensure they serve up the freshest, locally sourced food. On the menu, youll find fish from coastal day-boats, Cornish lamb and free-range chicken, eggs and pork. As youd expect, theres also a wide range of beers, local ales, wines and cocktails on offer.

Birmingham is a city full of character with a rich history to explore. From the relics of the Industrial Revolution to the worlds largest collection of pre-Raphelite paintings to the recently redeveloped canal quarter, theres plenty to see and do. Wander the charming streets of the jewellery quarter or visit the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery before a cocktail in a speakeasy-style bar behind a bookcase or unassuming doorway. Stroll back to The Town House through the pretty streets of Edgebaston Village after a day's exploring, perhaps stopping off for a delicious dinner at The High Field on the way.
