Harptree Treehouse is nestled in a tranquil wood on the outskirts of Bath. It is perfect for couples seeking a unique and romantic getaway in a gorgeous location, where you can leave the world behind you and immerse yourselves in nature. The double-domed treehouse is as impressive as its surroundings, beautifully designed and finished with your comfort in mind. The icing on the cake of this wonderful stay is the deep and luxurious copper bathtub in the bedroom, ideal for a long and relaxing soak with your loved one.
To enter the treehouse, guests climb up steps and walk across a woodland walkway. Inside the home is spacious, bright and airy. The first room houses an open plan living space, kept warm and cosy by a log burning stove. It is a lovely spot to relax, with two comfy chairs and a selection of board games to keep you occupied on rainy days. The kitchen is also found here, fully equipped with high quality appliances including a gas hob, oven and fridge, as well as all the cookware and crockery you could need.
Beyond here is the bedroom, where you can sink into the sumptuous king size bed with luxurious linen at the end of the day. Opposite the bed is the copper bath, which is surrounded by windows, giving the feeling of bathing in the canopy but remaining totally private. There’s also an ensuite bathroom with flushing toilet and shower. Outside is a delightful balcony with loungers, ideal for soaking up the atmosphere with a glass of something cold. The beautiful wood is teeming with wildlife, including rare birds, deer, foxes and badgers, all of which can be spotted from the treehouse if you are quiet and patient.
If you can pry yourself away from the magical home, a scenic stroll leads to the local village. You can also work up an appetite by walking to the Litton Inn or the Ring of Bells in Hinton Blewett. Also nearby is the vibrant city of Bath, famous for its imposing architecture, ancient Roman baths, excellent museums and independent shops. Or if you fancy something more outdoorsy, there is hiking at nearby Mendips, cave tours at Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge or watersports on Chew Lake.
