Gardener's Cottage is listed with us by the managing agent Olivers Travels.
Supremely luxurious with a decadent, stylish feel to it, Garden Cottage is a wonderful holiday home for groups of friends or family. This beautifully restored Victorian cottage is built into the wall that surrounds a large estate’s original flower and vegetable garden. Built around 1848, this lovely house is filled with all of the essential comforts required to make your stay as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. Ornate open fireplaces combine with giant freestanding bathtubs and bold driftwood coffee tables to give this tremendous brick cottage real character and charm.
Guests in two of the three double bedrooms are able to make the most of their own giant bathtub sitting right there in the bedroom. This touch of elegance offers an extra level of luxury, enabling guests to relax and unwind in their rooms after a long day out exploring the Suffolk countryside. The bedrooms also make the most of fabulous big comfy beds, stylish furnishings and pretty views out onto the garden and beyond. On top of this the original bunk room has space for up to six adults or children.
The large family kitchen, fitted with everything you need to cook up some delightful food, opens up onto the quirky living room which has an unusual feature fireplace inspired by the ‘Green Man’ from Suffolk mythology. The dining space comfortably has room for ten guests to sit around the zinc covered table beneath the skylight. Guests may also make the most of the lovely outdoor space, which includes a private terrace with a BBQ. The rest of the estate can also be explored on bicycle or on foot and guests can make use of the tennis courts, swimming pool or head down to the lake for some rowing.
The Wilderness Reserve has 5,000 acres for you to explore, set across three river valleys. Head out and breathe in some of the country’s cleanest air and gaze upon some truly picturesque scenery. Venture further afield and you have access to Suffolk’s much celebrated heritage coast. You may also wish to visit the nearby towns of Ipswich or Norwich, both of which have some lovely pubs, restaurants and great places to shop.
