  The Detail...

Situated in the grounds of Broadacres, an AA 5 Star Silver bed & breakfast, this single-storey, open plan lodge is a little slice of heaven tucked away in beautiful Broadacres.

With the horses grazing in the paddocks as your nearest neighbours, a stay at the Garden Lodge offers complete seclusion and relaxation. Delightful and truly deluxe accommodation can be found in this quiet and quaint hideaway. The lodge offers open plan accommodation, with wood cladding, high gloss kitchen cabinets and designer touches throughout.

The kitchen area is fully fitted and comes with all of the modern conveniences you could need during your stay, including an electric oven and microwave. The solid wood work surfaces perfectly complement the wood clad walls, whilst the breakfast bar with velvet seating adds practicality and opulence.

The living area is furnished with a soft and inviting sofa, as well as a quirky patchwork armchair, perfect for relaxing after a busy day exploring. The rustic wood burner will keep hands and toes toasty while you watch the 50 flat screen television with Freeview. The rug is soft under foot and helps adds an additional layer of luxury to the lodge.

The bedroom area is home to a sumptuous looking bed, covered with top quality linens to ensure the very best nights sleep in your country cabin retreat. From this good size double bed, you can lay back and admire the room or get a good nights rest to prepare you for the next days adventure. Bedside cabinets with industrial lighting are a real focal point, and enhance the designer feel that can be found throughout the cabin.

There is an en-suite bathroom with deluxe fittings and fixtures that may just possibly be the very best bathroom ever found in a wood clad cabin. The curved shower cubicle, with waterfall shower would not look out of place in a luxury apartment, and soft fluffy towels, high quality toiletries and a feeling of utter luxury also come as standard.

Outside the lodge you have immediate access to the very best of the East Sussex countryside. If you want to enjoy the views without leaving the lodge, park yourself up on the veranda, with a choice of two traditional rocking chairs as well as a bistro style table and chairs all perfect for a spot of al fresco dining. You can even take advantage of the barbecue or traditional fire pit.

The lodge can be found in the village of Ripe, which itself is also small but perfectly formed. The village is within walking distance of Greenacres and offers a delicatessen, post office and an excellent village shop that sells tasty home-cooked food if you are feeling peckish after your walk. There are also a section of fabulous country pubs in the vicinity including The Gun at Gun Hill, The Cricketers Arms in Berwick Village and The Griffin Inn at Fletching are all recommended. Whitesmith is close to the historic town of Lewes where the castle and the Barbican Hour Museum are not to be missed.

Opera fans can treat themselves to an evening at Glyndebourne, or art aficionados can pay a visit Charleston House with its artists gardens and exhibition gallery. The lodge is also close to the South Downs National Park and the bracing coastal walk on the Seven Sisters. If you are heading on out for the day, the hosts can even prepare a picnic for you to take with you.
