For lovers of fresh, clean air, those yearning for expansive, clear skies, and dreamers of green fields, wildflowers and trees, Fort View, which is situated amongst 36 acres of beautiful Cotswold countryside and woodland, might just be the perfect getaway.
Situated on a working farm and surrounded by wildflowers, woodland and wildlife Fort View is the ideal spot to escape life's stresses.
Wooden floors, white walls, and plenty of windows bring in the natural light and creates a wonderful bright, relaxing ambience. Ancient timbers criss cross the ceilings in all the rooms, adding character and texture to the apartment. The windows look out over the pretty farmland beyond and the quiet setting offers guests plenty of privacy to enjoy a tranquil break.
The living area is open plan and includes a contemporary farmhouse-style kitchen with all the modern conveniences cooks may require. There is a good sized dining table where friends and family can celebrate special occasions or just play boardgames and sip wine. The living area is filled with inviting sofas, comfy and cosy in a great position for guests to enjoy the lovely views.
There are two bedrooms to chose from. Both are equally stylish with white walls and linens and pops of colour incorporated in the soft furnishings. All beds have memory foam mattresses, high loft duvets, a range of pillows, and pure Egyptian cotton bedding. A sleek and modern family sized bathroom serves all guests, light and bright it has a shower over the bath. The tub is large and hot water plentiful, so be sure to make time to enjoy a super-long soak. Large white fluffy bath towels are provided for an extra touch of luxury.
Guests can always head outdoors to make the most of sunny summer evenings and enjoy a drink while watching the sunset, or fire up the barbecue which is provided and make the most of the farm produce. Meat and breakfast boxes can be ordered from the farm directly and are full of perfect barbecue goodies including sausages, lamb and pork.
Of course, visitors may also want to eat out during their stay and the area is full of great pubs and restaurants. Head the The Old House at Home in nearby Burton for great beer and soak in the atmosphere of this traditional English boozer. While Tetbury, a short drive away, is home to the renowned Snooty Fox.
The apartment is up an outside stone staircase, which is a little steep but has non slip steps and and handrail
25 minutes drive to Bath and Bristol, with Cotswolds and Cirencester around 40 mins drive. M4 J18 is 5 miles from us.
